Kate Wilson at 28 is at a turning point in her life when she meets the dynamic activist, Mark Stanton, whose aim is to end all animal experiments by the notorious company, Draco. Though reluctant at first, Kate is persuaded by Mark to go undercover for a temporary job in Draco’s laboratories to get vital information.

She soon realises that Mark has enemies both inside and outside the movement, causing tension and constant danger as the activists seek to free the animals and Mark is hunted by the police and Draco’s executives. Gradually, as she becomes more involved, she falls in love with Mark. Can their love though be realised with his dedication to the cause and can Mark succeed with the forces closing in on him?
